Volunteer Opportunities
Do you want to get involved in the Slovenian Canadian community in the Greater Toronto Area?
Would you like to gain new skills and experiences? Are you interested in networking with Slovenians?
Would you like to volunteer your TIME and SKILLS on behalf of the Slovenian Canadian community in the GTA?
Are you a high school student looking for something interesting to do for your COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT requirement for the OSSD?
The following Volunteer activities might be of interest to You.
- Act as Project Manager for the Slovenian Writers in Canada project or read a book by a Slovenian Canadian author and write a one-page summary of the book’s content for the Slovenian Writers in Canada project.
- Participate and help organize events such as the Potica Challenge, annual Bus Tour and Christmas Banquet.
- Work with the Building Maintenance committee for our property located on Pape Avenue in Toronto.
- Participate as a STUDENT or an INSTRUCTOR in our Slovenian Language course.
- Use your administrative skills helping out with the organizing and maintaining of the office files.
- Use your computer skills working with database and corporate information.
- Help establish our Slovenski Dom Library.
- Edit a blog on our Slovenski Dom website – www.slovenskidom.com
- Act as a youth representative.
