Join SLOVENIAN HOME ASSOCIATION for an enjoyable Fall getaway on September 26!  Your day begins with a tasty stop at the Big Apple for a coffee stop and to see their famous Apple pies! You will then visit Trenton’s fascinating National Air Force Museum that tells the story of how Canadian military aviation began and how it evolved into today’s modern air force. You will see up-close many historic aircrafts and learn about life in the air force! After a delicious lunch at Tommy’s Restaurant, you will have a scenic drive into Prince Endward County and visit the award-wining Sandbanks Winery for tasting and to learn more about this unique winery. The day will conclude with a visit to the Klemencic Farm for a social and light refreshments.

The Slovenski Dom Bus Tour is typically a one-day outing scheduled to take place sometime in September.  The purpose of the Bus Tour is to meet and share interesting and informative experiences with fellow Slovenians while exploring some of the educational, cultural and social attractions available nearby in Ontario. We hire a 57 passenger bus with the driver and prepare an itinerary for the day. In the past tours with specifically Slovenian content have included our fellow Slovenians at Drustvo Sava in Kitchener during Octoberfest. We have also visited farms operated by Slovenians in Orillia and Trenton, Ontario. And, in the old Slovenian tradition, we have visited Ontario wineries to tasted some of their wines and liqueurs.
